This car chassis #915041 was born as a berlinetta built by Touring for its first owner Count Carlo Felice Trossi, an industrialist located at Gaglianico and a top racing driver as testified by the fact that he drove many times for the Alfa-Romeo factory. In 1939 in the Tobrouk-Tripoli race, Carlo Felice Trossi took a third place witn an Alfa-Romeo 2500SS Touring berlinetta which was a works car and not #915041. Trossi kept his own 2500SS until 1946 when this car passed successively in the hands of five Italian owners as testified by the "Estratto Cronologico" of the Reale Automobile Club d'Italia. Then this car went to Switzerland in March 1951 bought by Mr. Savedi Heinrich then by Mr. Peyer Alois who kept it until late 1990s when the car was in Germany. At the time of printing this catalogue, we cannot ascertain the moment when it was rebodied as an open two-seat soprts car. This is a superb automobile which had been restored according to the rules. It participated in the 2000 Historic Mille Miglia even where it had been much admired. With a famous origine it is eligible in the main historic racing events. EEC Title FIA Passport
